I hate to tell you all this but........ it is the most beautiful warm sunny day here! I was up at 5.30 to avoid the queues at the department of Home Affairs. I was second in line & was still there for an hour. All the paperwork has to go to Pretoria & I should get a permit in about 3 weeks. All this for an extra 8 days! Went to the District 6 Museum this morning. District 6 was an area of Cape town that saw the "enforced resettlement" of native South Africans to the Cape Flats (townships) from the 1950's. People were literally forced out of their homes & then the whole area was bull dozed as part of the Apartheid programme. People were still been forced out as late as the early 1980's.
Last week was a busy week with the teenagers, children & support groups. The children were auditioning for their end of year celebration! They can all sing & dance, so will probably all get to perform!
