Hoop Group

Have just returned from dropping off the Torquay Team at the airport for their flight home. Their time here has flown by & I can't believe I am now in my 5th week!
I have been unwell  with a nasty virus which left me with virtually no voice for a couple of days. I know some people would think this is a good thing!
There was a "Hoop Group" yesterday. This is for teenagers affected by HIV/Aids in some way (It's not the same as the group where they are training to support others) There were 25 in the group. They had all lost either one or both of their parents to HIV/Aids.
It was a very moving time as their was a guest speaker explaining how her faith had helped her, as she had become an orphan at a young age. It was so powerful seeing the teenagers relate to her & asking questions.
They are in such difficult circumstances but it is great to see the work of Izlanda Zethemba supporting them at such a vulnerable age. It gives them such vauable support  & hope for the future.
I am constantly humbled by the humility, dignity & faith of the people of the townships.
